Randy: 3W looks great!! Suggestion: you drive the 3W on the Blowing Rock run and have your bride drive the roadster!

  13. 100% classic Randy.
I can't wait to see it in person.

  14. Do you have a ZZ430 in the 3W like you have in the Roadster?

    If so, what number?

Don't you have ZZ430 #430 in the Roadster?

I have known Randy for many years. He is a real "stand up" kind of guy that always builds a well thought out and well executed car. It LOOKS GREAT Randy !!

    1 ) Yes ... the 3W has a ZZ430 also. Number #216
    2 ) Yes :) my 32 roadster has the very last ZZ430 made by GM ... #430

With 430 Horsepower and 430 pounds of torque ... they both are rather " BRISK " ... with the 3W actually being the quicker of the two. The 3W is a little heavier ... but with the 700R4's lower first gear ... and more gear in the 9 inch Ford out back ( because of the 700R4's Overdrive ) ... it pulls a good bit harder. :D

  18. Well done.

And only four years - he says as he's looking at his 7 year roadster project.

I like five windows, but your three window has me thinking about jumping ship on that one.

Just think, windows and all . . . just the thing for those in-the-teens Arizona mornings.

Granted, not as cheap as an Arctic Parka, but then again if I had a three window I wouldn't need the Parka.

Sometimes I get so bundled up that like Charlie Brown, if I fell down . . . not sure if I could get up.

For sure, a coupe would be nice.

I'm guessing too that your Sweetie will be driving the coupe to runs and shows while you're running the roadster.

Now and then I start thinking that "roadster" is a French word that means "Rolling air leak."

Aside from wearing the 'new' off the coupe, how will you decide which car to drive?
Weather would enter into the equation, but if it was gonna be a nice day?

After seeing your skills and patience ... I know you could build a super nice, Buick powered coupe. I almost bought a 65 Riveria 425/2 fours car ( junky past saving :( ) to get the engine/transmission for my roadster ... many years ago.

    Rolling air Leak ... :D :D

Great looking build. It looks like it should be running down the Interstate.
