I found my body "used" at a swapmeet. It was one of the bodies that they list in the back of HotRod, etc... The company is called AeroFiberglass... It started life as a 36' Ford and I changed it to a 37' Ford. I built a 1" box tube chassis and used mini pnumatic cylinders for air-ride. Here are some pics... Paint is Viper yellow with butterscotch pearl. Pics were taken on a cloudy day, it really pops in the sun. I made the airlines disconnect under the rear of the body and the handle removable for easier transport and displaying at shows. Handle mounts look like tailpipes... Here's some pics of it. Daughter is almost 6 now and she still plays with it...

Anytime pedal cars come up, the Monster Gravity Racer is the vision that comes to mind.

I'd love to have one of these

Here is one I built for my son 3 years ago...I got the body from aerofiberglass (now gone?), but I think poliform has this particular body now. I went way overboard on mine...tube chassis, quickchange rear, shocks, working lights all around, spreader bars, tuck 'n roll, drop axle...but is hands down the most rewarding thing I have ever built...

Have you found something yet? I have this body and frame. The body is still gelcoat, no cracks. The frame is rusty, let me know.

Pedal cars don't have chassis, just a bolt in rear axle assembly and a bolt in front assembly with funky spindles and a steering link from the steering wheel that is just bent like an "el" and drops into a hole in the flat steel strap "tie rod"..

Why not make your own chassis if you want one?

  24. I'm afraid if I start making one the hot rodder in me will take over and the next thing you know it'll be gas powerd doing wheelies or something..lol I've got to keep this on the simple pedal side of things for my 4 year old, I've already been looking at my old weedeater out there.

  25. think real tall rear wheels about ( 8-10) so it will roll ez and pivot good when pushed or tipped for curb jumping

    low in front is ok
but rear clearance will get ya thru the soft sand and such doing a wheelie..
