nice rides man... dig the merc and the galaxy!

how difficult was it to do the EFI into the vintage vehicle?

  4. Easy, I use a mustang harness and wire it into the existing or aftermarket body harness. Very dependable and parts support group healthy. Alot easier than most think and can be done cheap!!! Just not so HAMB friendly, but the Kustom will always be buttoned up and the Galaxie is a work truck!!!!! ETHER

I've got a '84 302 truck motor in my tub. It's bored over, mild cam, Edelbrock performer intake with a holly carb. I switched it over to HEI ignition with a one-wire alternator. I used a King Chrome short water pump with a March underdrive pully set.

I mated it up to an AOD and a 8.8 rear out of a Crown Vic. Makes a nice reliable driver and it's all Ford.

We put an '89 5.0 HO motor in my son's '70 Stang (originally a 6 banger) and yes - he later turned the air cleaner 90 degrees the way it should be.

EDIT - here is a later pic

My roadster has always had a 302, now has a substantially stouter one with TFS heads, Ford Racing hydraulic roller cam, shorty headers (old motor got by with manifolds), and 30% more rear gear (switched from a C4 to an AOD). The old motor was getting pretty tired, but the car is very capable of merging with traffic now.....

My '32 5 window has 302 heads, don't know for sure what block, I suppose it's a 302 with a C4 and 8" rear. I have an old 3 deuce set up with Holleys to replace the old Weiand and single Holley. The car was put together sometime in the late '60s.
