Hot Rods 4t64rd has a car that runs!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 4t64rd, Nov 22, 2008.

  1. Fired the engine for the first time tonight.

Tomorrow, we'll see if the th350 that's been sitting dormant behind the engine for about 8 years will transmit power to the rear end and let me go for a loud and bouncy ride around the backyard.:D

  27. Not a lot, I may have to put a leaf or two back into the front spring, the front pushbar "tusks" are only about a beer can off the ground right now so it could go up a little. I had to switch to 5.60-15s (from 6.70's) to get the 1/8" of clearance at full left lock.

I'll just be careful until I get more of it together and see how things go.

A more experience builder would have planned better and set the engine back 2 more inches, I used a bolt-in wishbone splitting kit so it determined where the engine went... about 11 years ago
