The other day I learned that when you build baffles for your new lakes headers and wrap them with fiberglass packing, that you should do the initial startup OUTSIDE the shop.

I've learned that I am not as tolerant of youngsters as I used to be...

 

i just learned this morning that it's better to have another person with you to catch the glass when your taking out a 2 pc. winshield...DOH!

 

if you have an engine stored in the shed spray some fogging oil down the cylinders or the rings could seize to the bore s , ,

 

That an overapplication of an under thought of idea is rarely a good thing.

 

#1 I learned that, (just as I thought), people who fuck up chops on cars can throw their hands up in the air and walk away, while those of us who had missgivings about this situation from the get-go, can be assigned to fix the afformentioned chop.

#2 I also learned that laughing loudly and yelling "F-that"and "F-him", directly followed by getting into your daily driver to head towards home early, while giving everyone at the shop the middle finger, can result in a call from the boss pleading for your return and "help" in "fixing the problems".

#3 Lastly, I learned that a Corona early in the afternoon tastes better with a sprinkling of "I F##king told you so".

Other things I've learned:
Scrap metal prices have fallen over 90% since the summer...cast iron here is now $15-20 a ton!

Don't try to load heavy objects with your budy if you both have been drinkin all day. It might end with someone cutting off the tip of their fingure.

 

If I know him he was probably doing about 80 in the west bound left lane. The semi blowed a rear swervered into his lane and punted him into the median and across into the east bound lanes. He didnt know what happened but another semi driver heading east seen it all and stopped before hitting him and stayed to tell the cop what happened. Oh yeah and the asshole that hit him kept on going and got away before they could find him.

 

To locate # one cylinder .If you stand to the side of the car on a v8 eng. the # 1cyl. is more foward than the other cyl. head.
