This thread comes across like you think your '32 is finished or somethin'..... Hahahaaaa Awesome, Myke........just AWESOME! Whenya gonna lower it? (KIDDING....kidding)
Thanks again for the comments! To answer a few questions: The paint is just basecoat. The plans were to paint it again but I really like how it is now. Had I had known I would have had a flat clear put on it because the basecoat is very fragile. The hood latches are early 32. Found on ebay....like most of the other parts. The copper line out of the tank is for the hand fuel pressure pump. I stole that idea right off the henderson roadster. The brake lines (actually all the lines) are copper nickel alloy. I bought them here http://store.fedhillusa.com/ Somewhat pricey but you can't beat the look. I was one of the many ideas I found here on the HAMB. Lower it...funny! no way...
thanks to you and everyone else on the HAMB for all of the detailed build pictures, so much neat stuff being done out there........
Right after you got the 3W and we were PMing back and forth ... I thought you were CRAZY to chop that coupe ... But it has turned out to be stunning It has all the really cool stuff most of the guys back in the day wanted but could not afford ... yet it is NOT a circus wagon Congrations ...
Thank you... and thanks for all the help in the begining. You schooled me well on 3 windows. I did try to use parts that you would really see on a street car in 48 to 52 ish era. There is nothing really exotic on the car. And everything on it does have a purpose. Almquist and your local junkyard would have put this car together.
Love the color and finish. Usually when I see '32 in the title I cringe a little but I am glad I looked!
Really beautiful pictures Myke! The scenery is awesome. But the pictures still aren't as good as seeing it in person, the detail is just mind boggling. Hopefully we'll get a couple more rides in before the salt happens! Then you can work on that 36, I can only imagine how nice that will be. ~ Scott
Nice Job Myke, It was good to see it again up Amhearst before winter.Nice pics, but It looks even better in person. Bruce C.
Thanks again for the comments! HaHa...funnier thing is that I didn't even know they existed till you told me.
The car is absolutely stunning, but so are the incredible, quality, photos! They could fill a HAMB calendar all by themselves. WOW!!!
Absolutely Stunning 3 window. You have the touch and the eye for making it right in this day and age. Finished it is!
