51 Lincoln Cosmo Seat

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Winky8, Oct 27, 2008.

  1. I have just bought a 51 lincoln Cosmo after the international truck deal didn't work out. It is pretty rust free. running a 400 ford motor but has no interior. Anyone on here have a suggestion for seats to fit in. Or does anyone know of a complete 4DR interior that i can purchase. Any help for the FNG would be appreciated especially if in MN

'64-'66 Thunderbirds (with the wrap around back seat) are a popular seat setup for the '49-'51 Mercs and Lincolns...might have to fab up your own brackets though.

  3. Thanks Mercman I'll have a look around see what i can find

I had some pics of completed installs, I'll see what I can dig up for you.

The tbird seats would look good for an early 60's style custom

A 65 Cad Deville two door front seat is a natural in a 51 Merc an should work in a Lincoln of the same year. One of the car rags has a photo of a Merc with a 65 or so Buick two door seat that looks just as good.

I've got a full set of seats out of a '50 Lincoln but they're from a standard coupe. If you like a split bench in your sedan we could work something out.

  8. Thanks Guys Squablow I have sent you a pm

There is a junkyard near me that has one but if it still has the seats they will be rough. Jeff
