My first. Sold it several years ago. Wish I still had it, I'd throw a set of black steelies with spider caps and white 'stones. Although the wheels were from Rallyamerica.

Not a Hot Rod, but this was my start.
Built when I was 14 back in 1990.

Pretty scary, but I cobbled this thing together when I was 17 and in high school, back in 1980. It never made it to the street, but I did make a few test runs in it on private land. The only thing that turned out good on the whole car was the 4" chop, my first.

'31 Chevy Coupe also. Although, it does not look like this anymore because it's in a million pieces right now. 1932 Ford Frame, 331 Hemi 5w Coupe.

This is my first attempt of building a hot rod. This was built from the ground up by myself and my father....It's been in the works for about four years.

My first car, in 1995, was a 1958 Ford Custom 300 2dr. Sedan. It was basically stock and only lasted a couple months. I was in a bad head-on collision and the car was totalled (not my fault, by the way).

Second car was a 1964 Galaxie 500 XL 2dr. 390/auto. It, too, was basically stock, and my dad, and I, did a bunch of body work to it and painted it. Didn't look too bad at all. It got parked when I went off to college (1998) and I sold it last year (2007).

I picked up a 1957 Ford Custom 2dr. Sedan in 1997 ($50 field car!) , worked on it, and drove it some through college. I'd call it my first Hot Rod - I did some body work on it and swapped in a hopped up 302/C4. Rebuilt the front suspension, etc. I put the buckets and back seat out of a '66 Ford Fairlane in it and they actually fit quite well.
I drove and worked on that car for about 4 years and put over 30k miles on it. It was alot of fun to drive and did good burnouts :D

    Here it is:
(sure, flat black, red wheels, wide whites ) I thought it was pretty cool, and still do. I was learning and it did need to be lowered some.

My first car was this Model A Coupe, I bought it 1963 for $110.00, runing in primer, with a Flathead, and a 39 Trans. First picture is with the Flathead and the second was when I was in the middle of putting a 322" Nailhead and Muncie 4 speed in it.

That's one thing that has always bugged me, I never got a picture of the first rod I ever owned. I purchased a '39 Ford Standard in '64 and built my first SBC, a 265 with 3 deuces, to go in it. Didn't have it long but I'll never forget the fun I had with it.:)

  21. It took me 42 years to get mine back from an old girl friend!
