ok heres the deal. i need to decide which way to go so i can continue with this project. i was never a kustom guy till i started hanging around here and i'm really digging it. i don't have the cash to do the bagging or top chop so it would have to be along the lines of a 40's/50's job pre bags. for now anyway. the car is in tan prime now and not sure on color at this time. the top photo is how it is now, middle pic with 1" back drop and 2" front drop and last with whites, skirts and 2-3" back drop no front drop. what do you think.

Nice car....I like the bottom pic best....

I absolutely LOVE taildraggin' 35/6 3W's, chopped or not.....that said, it would be cool to see one build differently....like an early 60's drag/street racer...

Always liked this car done as a tail dragger although hotrodding these cars are nice. I personally don't think it needs a chop.

I think those are vastly different styles, and the route you go has to speak to your heart, otherwise you're messing up a good car with an unclear vision. I vote hot rod, cause kustoms just don't flow to my eye until the automakers integrated fenders.

    good luck either way

    Both.

Make it Look like #3 and put the meanest most obnoxious sounding flathead in it you can. So when you're four blocks away people can hear you and say-"Here comes that '35, It's BAD!"

glad to hear you don't have the money to bag it.

I like 36's as HOT RODs.

Damn they all look good but the wheel skirts would need some trim of sorts so not to look to plain. Just my 2cents.

Jack Calori's 36 was a custom and was run and the lakes correct? Always loved his coupe. Just keep some spun discs around

I agree. It needs to be a hot rod.

I love the idea of an obnoxious sounding flathead to liven up the neighborhood in a bad mildly lowered 35 with skirts and red cheeks.

    Early kustom, please!

And no bags! Bags are the enemy.

As for chopping it, I dunno. I'm on the fence there.

  29. This body style is a gift to the early custom style. Don't waste it.
