Did some more bodywork on the Falcon tonight. Hopefully by next week it will be in primer!!!
Then comes the "tweaking" of the straight axle to correct the negitive camber.

If I told you it was a 427 SOHC or a highriser I would be lying. It is a 400 SB bored .30 over. It's rated at around 650hp. I know it should of been a Ford motor but the motor and trans were a deal that I just couldn't pass up. Besides the guy who started the project had it already setup for a SBC so it was easy to drop in.

It should have a side oiler, high riser, 427, But hey, they quit givin' those away awhile back..... It ought to run nice with 650 hourses. got a soft spot for straight axle cars.
    Looks cool, OLY

Really like your falcon ! I also have a sweet spot for them. My Dad ran one in the sixties. He later ran a 427 side-oiler in his Anglia. I've always thought ford in a ford, chevy in a chevy. Regardless your Falcon will get alot of attention wherever it goes. Nice job.

I would have like to see a Ford for power but when it comes to deals I can understand the reasoning, and as you said it is set up for a sbc already so that makes it easy. Great looking car, when its done maybe you can come over to the Gasser Reunion in Thompson Ohio, it would be a hit.

The altered wheelbase is cool. How much did you move the wheels forward?
