Ford EEC-IV Engine Applications

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 345 DeSoto, Sep 22, 2008.

  1. What years and engine sizes did Ford use the EEC-IV Contol Module with? I'm trying to determine if the EEC-IV was ever used with the EDIS-8 ignition system. Thanks, guys...

On Mustangs, 87-93 used EECIV EFI on 5.0 L engines. 89-93 use mass air. 87-88 are speed density. It will work also on a 351 W. If you're looking to adapt it to a non-ford motor check out a company called Mass Flow. They can set it up on any motor.

The only EEC-IV with EDIS that I can think of on a V8 application would be on the 92-95ish 4.6L Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, and Town Car (started in 91 on the Lincoln).

    5.0 Explorers used the system.

Yes, but that was 96-up, so they were EEC-V with the 102 pin connector.

It was used with the dual plug mustang head, those two coils could drive 8-plugs. Why not just megasquirt + EDIS 8?
