We have a local artist in Anacortes, WA who does some unique work. He has historical murals throughout the town. We had an antique machinery show today and he brought out this Buick. I would advise against cutting this guy off in traffic.
A few more pics. Not your standard ordinance in the back seat. The aircraft rivet theme is carried through the entire car.
I would hate to be in the front passenger seat with that gun at the back of my head. Apart from that it looks bad ass. I hope he drives the hell out of it. make all of the guys in hummers feel like sissys.
Except for the gun, it looks like a refugee from a '60s demo derby. Or maybe the local circle track.... the bomber class, of course.
Bill Mitchell – city historian, artisan, creator of the "Anacortes Mural Project" which depicts an eclectic mix of more than 100 life-sized outdoor murals inspired from photographs of early Anacortes life. NICEST guy to could ever meet, He 's quite the celeb up there..... Always has time to meet & greet - my experience -41-
Still trying to figure out the gun;looks like 20mm cannon rounds and the gun possibly a deck mount from an old submarine although I thought those were 37mm.I'm sure he has lots of interesting conversations with local law enforcement officials. You can NEVER have too many port holes.
If your gonna build or put together a theme car and everyone including yourself understands that it is a theme car, then that is ok. If you're building a "hotrod or custom" that looks like that and call it traditional, then you have some issues. It is very Americana. PS... green artilery wheels would set it off. LOL
