I think you met the guy who owns the car. I am just the guy building it. I should have some more pics to put up tomorrow.
I got the rubber, and the front glass cut and installed from a local shop called Jefferies Auto Body. It was on the expensive side but the results speak for themselves. 269 Tank Farm Rd, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401-7509, United States (Map) Phone: (805) 543-4757 Also Does Business As:Jefferies Hot Rod Autobody SIC:Top, Body, and Upholstery Repair Shops and Paint Shops Line of Business:Auto Body Repair/Painting
thanks for the info. i'll have to find another route because i want to buy the rubber and do the glass myself, and california is out of the question. hopefully other people will find helpful though
Car looks great. Are those hubcaps or is that part of the wheel? They would look cool with spider caps or a domed center cap.
Those are the wheels. This is the first set of solid chrome wheels i ve seen like that. They look pretty good, but in my opinion are too wide for the car. I think we are gonna end up with painted steelies and some firestone www.
Those are a set of the old fake wire wheels, without the wire "basket." Young'ens might not remember them, but they were EVERYWHERE around 1980 or so. My Dad put a set on a nice '56 Ford (that had original Torque Thrusts on it when he bought it!) They had a cover for the lug nuts, then the wire basket, and then a spinner that bolted into the hubs to hold it all together. From 50 feet away they looked like real wire wheels, but at a fraction of the price.
I wasn't born yet in 1980 so you're right I wouldn't remember, but thanks for the info I ll pass it on to the cars owner.
