well, some may know, i crashed this truck june 2nd. it destroyed the front clip. i already built on an s10 frame in oct.06. so, i clipped the old girl and decided things were going so smooth, why not section it three inches? and....SUICIDE THE DOORS i am very pleased thus far. i am loving how it is turning out. for those interested, my truck already has a bed that was shortened 6.5 inches and the top was chopped 5 inches. the running boards are flush with the bottoms of the frame and she has air-ride. the section (i think) will bring that all together. when i first told people in 0ctober of 2006 that i was gonna put it on a shortbed s10 frame they cringed. it won`t look right with the bed shortened. most people have not even noticed it. anyway....here are some pictures for your creative enjoyment and maybe some critisism...:)

looking good! I like the way you cut your cowl much better than how I did mine. I think I made more work for myself when I did it. Any who, here is a pic of mine, 4" section, 3" chop

glad you are starting her back up, hopefully the words of incouragement on the HAMB made you get the grinder and welder back out to button that puppy back up :)

it shouldn`t be too bad. i was comfortably 5 inches from the top with just the chop. now, i`m going to lower the seat about that so, it should be no different than it was before to me. :)

  29. I did a 4" chop and 5" section on my 54 GMC and think it brings the proportions back in line. the stock hoods just look to tall anymore. I haven't posted any of mine in nearly a year but it is close to being on the road and will shoot some soon as it rolls down the road.............Jim
