    Hi,

I thought I would share a picture of my exciting new project, a 1936 Plymouth Business Coupe

I have not decided exactly what to do with it. For now I am just fixing it up and driving it until I decide.

All it needs is a set of whitewalls, hubcaps and fender skirts, and it's done. :)

    Congrats on the new car!

It is mostly stock right now. I am probably going to put whitewalls on it (it needs tires anyway). However, I kind of like it in black tires as well because it looks more like a depression era business mans coupe ready to go and drive on some dusty dirt roads.

There are a few things on it that are not stock.
    Plastic hotrod tank
    electric fuel pump
    6v positive ground ALTERNATOR
41 Plymouth rear end (better gear ratio for highway).
I have the original generator incase I want to switch it back.
I really wanted to keep it vintage (but vintage speed ok).

I have registered the car but the car won't arrive until about another week.
I bought the car in person but decided to have a hauler deliver it for me (630 miles).

  11. That is cool as hell! I drove a '37 Business Coupe for 14 years as a daily driver. Love the Plymouths!

Rebecca, I've seen your posts on ForwardLook.net before. I'm going to feel bad for not remembering exactly, but don't you have a pair of 4dr sedans that were being restored?

Good choice with the Plymouth! There is one local that looks just like that with whitewalls and black steel wheels, it has air ride so it sits low, and powered by a small Chevy. Cool car!

    Danny,
In addition to this new 36 I have 1958 Desoto Firesweep sedan, 1950 Buick Super Riviera (HT), and a 62 MGA MK II roadster project.

I take lots of pics. You can see more pics of the Plymouth, my other cars and about 40k pics of cars from my area here:

    Danny,

I also saw a black 36 Plymouth coupe (all stock with white walls) in Fitchburg in 2006.
