just got this one the other day. It has a 1953 235 and is a pretty solid car. Its a four door, but it will be pretty cool to run around in, pretty cheap to, and is basically turn key. ha just needs brakes. what you think? Will probly have 1000$ into it all said and on the road
Beautiful car..... My favorite chevy of the 40s. Fisher bodies of that time are pure art. Restore it and drive it. Mine is all stock, including vacuum shift. I only swapped the 3.55 rear gears and torque tube from a 54 powerglide car and replaced the original 216 with a street 261. Every day is a good day, just starting it and cruising around.
I love my 48 aerosedan-art deco on wheels. Not quite a 36 3 window, but still... Anyway, you got a neat ride. I wish mine had had a 235.
I've always loved the 46/48 Chevy's. Had a 48 Coupe with 327/4spd and should have never sold it to my brother! It looks pretty straight................I'd keep it and drive it. How are the knee action shocks in the front? When I got mine nobody rebuilt them and I ended up putting a 55 Chevy 1/2 ton straight axle in it. A friend has a very nice looking 4dr, it's got a 350 with 700R4 trans and he has put 60/70k miles on since restoration................rides really nice. Here are pictures of my old 48 and Steve's 48...................Steve still has his..............I don't. Great Car!!!!!
Have a 47 Coupe with a 3.1 Camaro engine and trans, Nova rear, still working the bugs out, yours looks to be a nice ride!
