North Carolina here I come

So I know I have posted this before and got nothing, maybe it will be different this time. (maybe)
So I will heading for North Carolina this Thursday and will be going to school untill the end of July. I would like to know if there are any HAMB members that live in the Camp Lejuene area or if there are any happenings during my stay? If not then I guess I will just have to rent a Harley and go riding on my weekends off. (sigh)

Thanks, everyone keeps saying Myrtle is the place to be but I've never been so we'll see

 

Myrtles REAL touristy...all the neon, putt putt golf, shirt shops and the circus enviroment

my beach is local and mellow man

your real close to topsail and surf city which are super mellow and old beachy...

gotta check myrtle out though its more like disney land

 

I know one thing I don't like tourist and I have never been to disney land so it looks like I might have to set up camp in your neck of the woods. I will have to head inland first to pick up a "Friend" and let you know when I'm coming out.

also the outer banks, cape hatteras is a ferry boat north from you

i love it there b/c you can drive on the beach, have huge fires onn the beach, its like beaches used to be before all the money and regulations....dont get me wrong its not a free for all but its a rare oppurtunity on the east coast

Yeah the outer banks are real cool. Myrtle beach sort of sucks as stated so stay away unless you really need to go. If you can one weekend make your way to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville or where ever and take that all in.

See if anyone is going to drive up to the Hot Rod Cinematic. That would be cool a cool way to spend a weekend.

And if you make your way to the Charlotte area, PM me I will try to direct you to a decent time.

 

'Bout an hour away in Greenville. New Bern seems to have a little rod action going, and Raleigh is cool if you catch the right weekend.

I'll be at Emerald Isle Beach the Fourth weekend. PM me before then and we can have a mini-HAMB meet-n-greet!

Well I made it in after 19 some odd hours on the plane. I always get seated next fat guy that likes to fit fort he arm rest. (I hate flying) I'll be getting my class schedule in the morning so hopefully I can make some plans to meet up with some of you guys.

oh and a pig pickin aint right without vinegar bbq sauce the red stuff is for the north stop in at a Smithfield's chicken&barbecue and get a bbq pork sandwitch

I went out and had some mexican and it just didn't sit right. I should'a known something was wrong when there wasn't mexican to be found
But they did have Tecate so I guess that made it ok

 

They are a chain that specializes in barbecue and fried chicken. A chain, but a pretty decent one. I'm pretty sure there is one in J'ville.
