I just picked up the modified for the wifey a few hours ago from a FNG HAMBer (JBOPP). I do believe it was built by KILLER here on the HAMB but i am not sure.

She wanted to get a car so we had our eyes peeled for one. Then this popped up and it was right in our backyard! It needs a bit of work and she wants to do her own thing to it so i havent touched it yet. She left for Florida this morning and ive just been itchin to get in there and get that thing out on the road! Maybe i should concentrate on my coupe? NAAAA!

Anyways, just thought id show you guys. Heres some pics.

Cool! Looks like it has real potential. What direction does she want to go with it?

She wants to take a few things off, paint it and clean up the body work and make her own. Im just hella stoked i have a wife that is ready to rock a modified!

5W- Im thinking of maybe a T shell or a shortened 28-29 shell. Not sure yet. And ya, i need to come out and finish my TRANNY! Christina wants to come out and spin some donuts at the shop!

Thats pretty badass. I'm looking for something that my wife can drive "comfortably". She's a bit of a sissy.

P.S. Tranny's scare me. The Adams' Apple and 5 o'clock shadow freak me out.

STRANGER- I believe its a 223, but i havent had a whole lot of time to research it. If KILLER posts, hopefully he can shed some light.

SOCIALLY- Thats morea than 5-oclock, thats a man beard my freind. Fresh out of the service!

GREASE- Im thinking blackwall firestones all the way around. Its rockin bias in front and (gasp) radials out back! They WILL be changed.

But then again its not even my car! Hopefully she will post and tell everyone her plans!

JASON- Havent found one yet, but you see her dilema! Oh ya, thanks for letting her sit in your Buick(?) at Santa Maria. I kept reminding her how badass that car was and thats why we need our OWN modified "roadster"! It worked!

    thats fuckin rad!

I traded that to Terry for a 60 F100. He made it run and had some fun with it... Then he sold it.

I heard it was really fun to drive??

I got the motor from Dr. J, he can tell you what size it is.

Raise the body up about 5" and put a Whippet shell on it, perfect.

If she decides to go with the blackwall firestones I have a buddy that has a brand new set for cheap here locally.

I can't believe you got the Leftover Special (tm)! That was posted for sale here a couple years ago and I scrambled around like mad trying to figure out how I could come up with funds and get the car here. I definitely want to take a closer look at this someday.

It may be a bit cliche... but I have a keg sitting on the side of my house if you wanted to try to turn that into a fuel tank you can come pick it up... complete freebie. It was there when I moved in and I've only used to to stack shit on top of it every now and then for the last 3 years or so...

BTW, sorry I never got to meet up with you in SM. The Starchief was plagued with electrical issues that kept me busy (and briefly stranded!) most of the weekend. I did keep an eye out for a flaked-roof Rambler and I think I saw you guys cruising Friday night? 'course at that point my car was dead in the Perko's parking lot across from the SM Inn.

Ill definately be getting in touch with you then! She will need some 15's.

Good job on the build! The chassis looks REAL solid. We ran into a small carb issue but it should be resolved by next week. Look for it at the Primer Nats if you go!

It was for sale on base. Apparently it went from LA, to somewhere in the Bay Area, Atascadero, the base, then to Lompoc. Its a really bitchin little car. I think she wants to go with the spun aluminum tank, not a keg. I have a keg to but sometimes I think they can be cheesy. Oh ya, i was the guy in the white pickup that was yellin at ya at the H/Ocean intersection! We live right by Johnnies. Ill see ya around town.

I have a tank out of a 28 chevy truck.. It is only about 6 inches tall, 20inches long and 13 inches wide...It was under the seat ..filler cap on top and cool detail.. I can email you some pics if you want... Jason.

I've got a 30-31 grill shell for the cause, I paid $30 bucks for it. Could trade for a ride. ;) If she is interested that is.
