Deuce Daddy Don send me this photo of his all steel 32 Ford roadster to post on the HAMB. He has not figured out the Photo thing yet. But I believe he will He bought his roadster in 1962 ( for $500 ) and proceeded to put it together a piece at a time. It took him 6 years to finish it ... but he was made a Los Angeles Roadster member in 1971. In the mid 80's he moved to Oregon and is currently living there with his wife ( shown in the photo ). He has been cross/country in his 32 Roadster quite a few times and has worn out two speedometers in it. He has over 300 thousand miles on his roadster. He and the 32 are both the same age ... ( 1932 models ) .
Thanks for showing his photo. Is he computer challenged ? You should teach him how to post his own photos.
Great looking car and a cool story! Kinda reminds me of Jerry Kugel and his 32 roadster...the one he used as a test car for a bunch of his components and racked up hundreds of thousands of miles on...letting his kids and customers drive it even!
Yes, I think it is cool that he bought his 32 when he was 30 years old and has kept it for 45 years. He and I have a lot in common ( both have 32 roadsters ) and I got mine when I was 30 years old also. I will have to own mine a while longer to have it 45 years ... but I have no plans to sell it. I need another 15 years to have owned it 45 ... But then Don will have owned his 60 years
Great roadster, great story! I can't imagine owning a vehicle that long, best I could do was 7 years.
Sweeeeet Deuce! My 32' frame came out of my friends 5 window,he's had that car since 1960, The frame under it now is one of my old ones!
Good looking roadster, I'm plan on seeing it in person later this month as we drive by in our roadsters. I will call you Don from Portland as discussed. Dale
