Of course they have names....they have personalities too. However, I have to wait until it tells me its name because calling it something else creates shop chaos and accidents.

    53 Pontiac's name is Herman.
    55 wagon it Ethel.

None of the others are named yet as they haven't gotten enough attention to feel comfortable enough giving me their name.

They are all called, however, F***ing piece of sh**, or bitch, or a lot of other less than favorable names when biting a part of my body or dropping shit in my eyes.

I call the 54 Chevy Sherman, my 60 Chevy The Beast and I had a 66 C10 called Bob (bucket of bolts).

  4. "Biscuit"...used to be saddle tan (or a biscuit-color, IMO), and it's a Biscayne. Have also toyed with Biskit, Bisquit when it s PITA, and Biskwik.

I have to drive my daughter to the Prom this weekend. I'd give my right arm to pull up in the Weiner Mobile. She would die.

I thought only girls named their cars... along with some hot rodders, drag racers and of course all the custom car builders.

Real men give just their cars numbers / letters and / or class designations. Actual sponsors / owner names are optional and can be viewed without prejudice, in most cases. Heck, just a vanity plate is bad enough (yes, I have one, too.)

But my dad had the same name for all his cars... It was never used unless it was broken and he was trying to coax it back to life... come'on, Nellie Bell, he'd say - like trying to get a tired mule back on all fours.

Names of Cars, Sure I got some.

    1. 1939 Ford Deluxe Coupe. Name: Bhini Banche (Painted on the finders.) Owned since 1963. Daily driver.

    2. 1940 Willys Deluxe Coupe. Name: Red Bug (Painted on the deck lid) Owned since 1970. A 302 Hilborn injected small block Chev with a Muncie four speed. A wheel standing mean handling son-of-gun.

Names of cars are important just like peoples names are.

My family has called the 48 "Little" since years ago when I had a flatbed on it with Little Red truck etched in the side boards with a router. That was just about a year before Dodge came out with their little red express and the flatbed came off my truck. We also had a hokin big 77 K30 crew cab that got calle Big. Both tags were given to the trucks by my daughter.

  19. My truck's called "Lulubelle". No, I don't know why... it just is.

But it doesn't look as good as VL...
    Pinche bonita!

BTW, my buddy used to have a van he called James. He'd get in it, bleary eyed after a night of revelry, and say, "home, James".

Actually, i thought you were calling that truck a "Pile Of Sh*t" too.
I guess when your only writing 3 words its open to interpretation.

Anyway, I like to call my car the "Panty Dropper".

"Panty Dropper"? Wow, that's WAY better than the name of my car, the "Fanciful Unicorn".

Ewww, "Desperado", that's another good one. Wait, "The Gambler", WHOA, that rocks...

My ole beater trucks are always named Nelly.

Then, when brake checking my buddies riding shotgun, I can holler "Whoooaaa Nelly!" like Yosemite Sam. Strange but true
