another 35-6-7 pickup interchange ?????

Hoods.

I have yet to find a hood for my truck, which is a '37. I am running the '37 grille but would like to find '35 hood sides. Seems the tops are all interchangeable, no? Even though the '37 has the V'd windshield, the cowl vent makes the trailing edge of the hood tops appear the same.

Anyone have definitive knowledge if this is true? Anyone ever lay a '35 over a '37, tops OR sides?

 

having the same problem my 37 has more of a vee to the back
the 2 sets of 36's i have don't fit !

Hey jeem did some research and here are the measurements for the 37 hood and what i was told the 35 & 36 hoods were the same except for the side emblem, 35 in the middle , 36 in front.

as u can see the 37 is almost 2 inches longer on the sides and shorter in the center for the V

I was hoping to do the opposite, fit a '37 hood and grille on my '35 truck cab. Looks like I have some fitting to do....

 

Yeah, because the 36 hood top has a longer (center, by an 1/8th) AND shorter (side, by 1 and 3/4 inch) dimension, you'll be adding AS WELL AS trimming either way you go!
