Most of these pics are stolen (from Reverend Jake) as I always carry a camera but prefer to go through life as a voyeur...

Here is the weekend according to RASHY...

    Friday
Off like a herd of turtles, Bulletproof blows a tire...

Something Shiny catches me and Rev...

And Whitey finds he has two stripped studs...

I will never, EVER eat here...

    Rolling towards Dewey (Doowee!)

We nearly make the hotel and Rev's car starts pooping out. This is the first time on the road for Rev, Norma and this car and it seems the tank is full of crud. A quick fuel filter change and we are on the way.

We have to eat so we skip the poker run and jump straight to the meat of it, the Phillips 66 Museum...

We then passed by the Price Tower for some more history lesson and photos...

My Lovely Bride and I checking out the giant 66 in front of the Price Tower...

Rev gets artsy at the "Free Feed" Thanks Duke!

Lined up at Quik Trip for some barley sodas (Okie Beer)...

And back to the hotel for some quality entertainment...

Mama Rash gets the "Rock This Town" award. Not sure if it was for her or the car...

    Heading home...

Stop number one along the way home...
Revs ride, we think the fuel filter is clogged again...

Thank goodness we have the understanding kind of gals...

Stop number two. Maybe it's the fuel pump? We wired in an electric pump I carry as backup. Unfortunately it needs to go close to the tank. We try our luck anyway...

Stop number three... No photographic evidence of this one as it was in a bad spot on the highway. We sent the girls on to the nearest exit and convenience store. I didn't see the need for all of us to get wiped off the face of the earth and none of us needed to see their significant others in peril. We decided teh original fuel pump was working better so we put the plumbing back as it was. I then climbed up on the engine and took the lid of the carb off, sopped out all the crap that found its way into there and adjusted the floats. We've come to the conclusion that the sender screen is getting clogged and we will need to slosh the tank. This will have to wait til we get somehwere a little friendlier. We saddle up and make it home just before 6 PM.

The best part of the whole weekend is that we had a BLAST! Even when we were about to get knocked off the road by the idiots who can't be bothered to move over we were doing what we love with the people we love.

    Sappy? Maybe.

    But it's what it's about.

    Random Pics...

  6. Nice pics my friend!

  7. Hey Rashy, it was good to see ya again and visit what little we did. Maybe we can visit a little more at the drags. I won't have to be so well behaved then.

Rashy, Monkey, Rev, Bullet proof and Vern. (Hopefully I didn't forget any body)
Thanks for hangin out with us this weekend. I don't want to wait until the HAMB drags
to see ya guys again. Let me know when ya guys get together and if ya don't mind,
I'd like to join up with the Herd of Turtles....

The Bobble head, Super 8 hotel sign was hard to line up for Friday nights entertainment.
The bobble'n part didnt bother me as much as the poppin sound that it was making.
You never know what you are going to see in Dewey.

Great Story and it was fun to see Rev with a huge smile on his face all weekend because
he had a car in Dewey.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

  17. Pictures always seem to do so much more than words can say. It WAS an AWESOME weekend. I met some H.A.M.B.ers "in person." BigKen let me get comfy in his truck.:) And I got to catch with folks on only get to see once a year.

It was great Fast Freddie had his merc out...FINALLY!

You just can't put into words how PROUD I was to have my own ride at THIS show. I'm like a proud parent. Rollin' all weekend with your "posse" makes it feel like you can take on the world.

Rashy is a man to look up to. He busted his ASS to make sure my car was gonna make it to the show. He even worked on it when I wasn't there. He gave me so many parts that were crucial to complete the car. And let me sport those BITCHIN supremes. How's that for a friend? Bulletproof, many thanks as well. Tracy(Mama Rash) fed me everytime just like I was here own! And Norma, my love, encouraged me the whole way. How's that for home life?

The car troubles only added to the excitement of the weekend. We just got to hang out a little longer. Having two of your closest bros ready to thrash at the drop of a spark. Rashy and Bulletproof made sure I was making it home. After those 3 breakdowns we made it back and we were beat. It seemed only a beer could top it off.

Mickey, this IS the best show around. Thanks for working so hard for us to have fun.

I kan't wait til next year!

  19. Nice report Rash!!! Nothin' like an adventure! Let's hear it for the gals hangin' in there. Just imagine how it would be with car problems AND bitchin' an' whinin' fer background music. That would definitely clip the top right off a buzz!!! Glad ta see some folks have a good time regardless.
