Doyle Gammel's coupe is perfect and timeless

My next choice is Roger Ritzow's roadster, let the flaming begin:D

In a perfect world I would have built this B-400-4 already and it would be everyones favorite.

The black roadster on the cover of the first large size R&C in 1961...that's what set the '32 Ford hook in me!

It's hard to not like any 32, they all look good, but this is my favorite and the look I am hoping to achieve only with no chrome, just paint

  9. I like mine, past and present...almost without exception, every 32 that's mentioned above is at the top of the list, way too many to pick just one.

Past??? Hmmmm......that's tough, I dig quite a few channeled coupes...

There was a red 3W, channelled HARD, full hood, blackwalls and small hubcaps on black wheels......pics in some old R&C's late 50's? Anyone have pics of it??? That car rules..

Also really dig the Orange Crate and the Don Tognotti coupe....

    Recent? That's easy....Axle's blue 5W....

Another one that I really loved from the past was McMullen's old yellow 32 Tub ("Thom's Tub Two" I believe he called it?). If I remember right, it was a 32 Fordor cut down into a tub...stuffed with a 6-71 blown small block and a Doug Nash 5 speed. It's biggest claim to fame is that David Lee Roth drove it in the "Hot For Teacher" video from Van Halen's "1984" album...smokin' up the tires in front of the school!

I know the car is still around...but it was sold to someone overseas years ago and they put a silly looking top on it, repainted it and put a trailer behind it!

ANYONE got any pics of it from it's original inception???

My favorite Deuce from the past is the beige woody that Boyd Coddington built in the late 70s. 30 years... that's the past right? The changes he made were very subtle and really enhanced the flavor of a woody without changing the overall look. Closely followed by this...

    The perfect top!

As far as today... there are a lot more that I don't like than the very few that I do.

  19. That's impossible! There's way too many that I'd pick as my "favorite". Of course the McGee Roadster, the Doane Spencer Roadster, the Vic Edelbrock Roadster, the Nitti Roadster, the Vida Orr Roadster (and thats just roadsters!!!) and on and on would be my favorites..............

Right now, my favorite is the one I drive. It has given me more driving pleasure and views like this through it's windshield for the past 8 years and 48,978 miles.

No contest for me; the Doane Spencer roadster. There have been others nearly as good, but none better.

    Present:
The one I would most like to own & drive myself. Clapton's Victoria.

    Other stunners, past and present:
    Jim McNeil 3W

Chet Herbert 4dr in its original form

Busby 5W (I think I could drive this one too)

    Poteet 5W

    Funny, I think I don't like 5-windows, but I have 2 on my list.

Current. Either the full fendered burgandy roadster with chrome rev and redlines (bad pic)

or the dark red coupe (with halibrands and thick rubber) that was built a few yrs back
