It's small, but it's mine.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Stevie G, Apr 20, 2008.

  1. Get your minds out of the gutter.
I'm talking about my new shop.
The closing date has been moved but it's getting closer.
It's a lot smaller than what I had, so I will be getting rid of some inventory. Check out the classifieds for some Neat Old Stuff.
    Anyway, here's the space.
It's big enough to park two and do routine maintenance or tear down one project at a time.
Hopefully this keeps me focused on one instead of bouncing around on five.
We are referring to it as "The Studio" because it's so nice.
Benches and welder on the end wall, shelves in the alcove and drawing table by the Circuit breaker box.

Sweet. Mine's drafty, small, has a horribly crumbled concrete floor, and may fall over one of these days. But I love it. Gotta have a place to create your cars. I like your shop!

  5. Looks good, Steve- let me know when you need a hand moving in!

  6. I hope you don't unload anything someone might need.....one of these days i'll be needing it!

good luck on the new shop...

I see a lot more shop if you take out some walls .

  16. Well, there is the rest of the house above it and around it. The studio is my personal space in the basement. The "Garage" is upstairs. I will still have some stuff in storage until I get another out building put up. One that's tall enough for the two post lift that's been laying in my trailer for the last year and a half.
In the mean time, I have a space to work on "The Bomb", so I'm happy.
I'll keep you guys posted on closing and a Shop warming party.

I have spent years working in a driveway. That looks like a great spot. No rain, No wind, No bug bites. Slick I say!

  27. I'm really hoping to keep it clean and organized.
Calling it the Studio is a start. I have a bunch of automotive art to get framed and hung on the walls.

  28. Shhhhh!!!
