The olds is not certed or WOF'd, the owner did the dodgy drive down (not far) and we were hanging back just in case we ran over any bits that fell off it on the motorway. Its going into the shed for a re-build (same shape, just a tidy and fix up.) so it will no doubt be a year or-so till it re-surfaces again, if anyone is interested (in auckland) in having a look at progress, or drinking some beer at it, drop us a line... and yes, hands are well full, and pockets are empty.

Double brown is a classy drop, and for 20 for $20 you cant go wrong. (unless you dont have $20)

Greetings from Long Branch,NJ,Americas first seashore resort and 7 time U.S.summer capital....GREAT pictures from the Blowout...the blue 32 at the top of the post reminds me very much of the AMT model my brother and I put together when those kits first came out way back when....
    Thanks for the post.

    He's a HAMBR - ForEverFour<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_2704293", true); </SCRIPT> and works for NZ Hot Rod Mag.

The truck goes pretty good - can drive for 5 hours at an average speed of 75mph - with a 4 banga... :p

Who owns the dragster with the Kiwi Konnection logo on it and is that grease in a couple of the pics??? It's hard to tell without welsey by his side. One of these days we're gonna make it over.

  28. Yeah thats Grease - Wellsy was there too in his too cool roadster.
The dragster is an original 1965 car owned by Paul "Pins" Sattler

Yep - Grease was there and having a ball. Wellsy's Caddi powered A Roadster is in those pics as well - looks like he lost a piston on the drive up. The "Vindicator" digger is owned by Paul "Pins" Sattler - another Whakatane member. First season with a "new" blown SBC and he's got down to 7.8 sec taking it easy it off the line - it skyhooks if he floors it. Has an "on loan" onboard data recorder that I look after - from Grease & Andrew's Flathead dragster...
