A well done '32 roadster if there ever was one. I'm digging the 3" chop. A 2" chop on a '32 roadster has been the standard forever, but we recently did a 4" and a 3" and the 3" is just bitchin. The 4" was super to look at but the owner had a top put on by Time Machines in Charlevoix, Michigan and it was just too cramped inside with the top up. Anyone under 5' 10" would be OK but I'm 6'2" and long in the upper body. So...... i'm contiplating on trying to cut my 2" chrome frame down another inch or selling it and doing a 3". Lobecks has someone that will cut one 3" and have it chromed so that may be the way I'll go.

Eyeball, in total sincerity, to my taste, that's THE perfect hot rod! I've been around a little bit and seen some deuce roadsters, but I like yours best. From what I can see everything is as I would have it (in my dreams).
    Top job!

  17. That is a perfect '32, hope you enjoy many great drives this summer with your son.

  24. WORST MENTAL IMAGE EVER!

  25. Tim.........so, there I am out in the garage parting out my rusty donor 40 frame for my 34 ford coupe project and thinking "Hmmm, wonder how much trouble it'd be to just use the whole 40 X-member in my 34 frame?" That would get me the correct pedals, master cylinder, tranny mount, wishbone mount etc etc...then I read your description of a "38 ford pickup X member" in your deuce frame. If you can do it with a deuce frame, I can do it with a 33-34 frame. Let me know if there's any trick to it as far as getting the x too far forward, backward etc.
    Thanks

    very nice, very nice >.<

  27. Rocky, I was able to determine the location of the X member by mounting the engine first and working my way back. That way I knew the clutch pedal setup would work out. I don't see why that 40 X would not work. The forward most point of the X is right at the firewall.
