Can anyone help me move towards a more traditional look on my 64 F100. I have an 460 (Which i know is not real traditional) Is there any finned valve covers or non-quad multi carb intakes for it that could help?

  2. I would say the best look for a 64 F100 would be stock, but maybe lowered a little.

Traditional for when????? It's a 64 ford truck...so you want late 60's traditional...make it a drag car push truck....I really doubt you will find many 64 ford showtrucks from any period in time...so I guess build it like ElPolackos green truck...that thing's awesome.

Put a straight 6 in it and a 3 on the tree. Now, that would be traditional!

I guess more specificly, are there any "cool" parts for a 460 aside from a hilbourn injection?

go for the slightly lowered push truck look. stockish color scheme, dog dish hubcaps and steel wheels. 3-speed column-shift. but, no one said all push trucks had to be slow (just see Tom Beatty's examples)... how about Blue Thunder's low-rise dual quad for 429/460? get a couple of the Holley 427 "backwards" carbs & repro linkage, etc. then dress that puppy with a pair of CJ/SCJ finned valve covers, it will start to look a lot like a 427, which is pretty traditional in the mid-sixties kind of sense.

They're saying it's going to be $4 bucks a gallon here in NY by the summer... I love it, gonna go up over .50 cents in the next three months! Craziness!

  14. Build your own intake.

  15. paint the block black, colour the valve covers and air cleaner then pin stripe it:)
