My uncle's "fuel injected" 55 crown vic, pic taken about 1964. Those stacks were homemade that he ran on top of two- four barrels to look like real injection. He had everything from a 292 Y block to a 427 FE in that car between 1960 and 1969. Still has the car and it's half restored with a BOSS 302 in it. This is my 55 with a 312 Y block and my uncles old tube grille that he gave me.
NIce to see that you sold her. I seen you on CL for a little while now. Whats your next one going to be?
Does anyone know anymore info about this car? I really dig this style of wheels. I want to do something similar on my '56 Chevy wagon with super clean original hubcaps. Thanks in advance!
Here is a couple pictures of my old '55 Vic and my black '56 more door. And a cool Red '55' done 60's style.
Dandingo, Here is the article about it in Super rod: http://superrod.com/ME2/Audiences/d...8F&tier=4&id=B401C2C0C7EC43DABE04A36EAB0E56A0
Mine's a '53 but I used the '56 side trim so I could do two-tone. I really like the pics of the black car that JohnnyRocket posted. Maybe mine needs to be black.
Hey guys Im sure by looking at my name you know roughly what I have haha. Well I have a 56 ford mainline. I have steel bubble skirts and also cruisers and not sure what to run. I currently have the care completely dissmanteled. I am having the hardest time trying to find an exterior sunvisor for it. Anyone know where I can score one?
Here's one I sold a few years ago. Sorry, but I have no idea where to find a visor for ya. I will say that I'd go for cruiser skirts over the bubbles. Just my own preference.
Hey kreature, Can you post a couple pics of the rear of your old car? I want to see how the merc tails look.
Unfortunately, like a big dumb ass, I never got any rear shots of it. I will say that I used the repop kits from Night Prowlers. I loved the lenses, but the housings didn't fit for shit. They're plastic and had to be molded into the quarters to even come close to fitting right. The screw holes weren't even in the right place. If you don't mind molding them in, they're pretty cool, but if I were you, I'd save my money and find the real deal.
Well, I have a pair of original 56 merc tail lights that are clean and also one peice lenses. I was thinking of using them on my fairlane. Also Iknow there is a guy on here that was trying to sell 56 mercury wagon tail lights and I would really like those.
Go for it! The real ones look killer!!! I wanted some, but couldn't find any that didn't cost a gazillion dollars. Bolt those puppies on there and get some photos.
I know this is not what you wanted, but I could not resist. My 55 convertible in 1963. I just found these pictures, hope I can find the ones of not wrecked. Joe
I get that alot, sadly until I finish my '53 Bel Air, she's boxed up in the shop. Although she really needs a new master cylinder...
