I'm honestly not sure exactly what I'm going to do on the rest of the car, as far as color(s) and whether, or not, there will be more scallops.

It'll be a couple years before I get that far. I'm really enjoying driving the hell out of it in the Spring/Summer/Fall, rain or shine.

Painting the rest of the body will be a major undertaking. The body will need to be blown apart, all the jambs stripped, primed, and painted. (still has the original paint in those areas) There are a few very small rust areas that need to be fixed. Weatherstripping also needs to be replaced at that time.
It could easily be a $2500-$3000 project, doing everything I can myself.
I don't have the room or resources to do it at this time. Besides, it doesn't look too bad as-is....

    Thanks guys,

    Malcolm

Dude - that looks fantastic. I'm a flake kinda guy, anyway. Funny, when you had your sketches for the scallops laid out, I picked the same one, myself. Too funny. Sick minds think alike. Looks like a very quality job, keep that guy close.
Well man, look forward to seein' y'all here in a couple weeks. CONGRATS.

We used silver flake that Jeff (Hiboy32) picked up at a swapmeet.

Thanks, Ken! Can't wait to make the trip down to the Roundup!

Thanks, Jeff! A group of us will be going to Austin again this year - hope to see ya there.

You might have noticed, in a couple of pics, a photo of your car that I printed for inspiration. :)

Looks damn good, I really like the shade of red you ended up with. Now finish the rest of the body off to match.

Thanks guys, but it'll be a while before the rest of it gets finished off. It WILL happen eventually, though. I have a few things I need to take care of on my house first.

...and I'll stick with Malcolm. :D

Malcolm my friend that looks killer. My vote is you carry the scheme over the entire car. Good job done by all involved. Hope to see you guys at Jays get together in April.
