Coupe Update

I have had a few people ask me what is going on with my car. So here is a few pictures, My friend Joe has been over helping me with the Body work and we are getting it slowly, Im on Vaction next week and planning on building a new frame. I shooting for it being totally done for detroit 2009. Does anyone have a chrome axle they want to get rid of?

 

I have been having problems with the plate when the car was a show car it had no plates on it so Im adding them but want to keep the look. It will have a roll pan the will be beside the plate on both sides so Im hoping that will off set it. The old roll pan was about 4 inchs under the body and the plate hangs down four and a half so it will offset it I hope. The guage pods are something Ive been playing with, I was going to do an edsel dash but someone else is doing that so I put it to the side for right now .

I remember the first time you drove it to the Frogs when I was like 12. There was a crowd around it all weekend.

 

So are you restoring it? Or are you just doing your own thing to it?

Love that 35-36 Ford style deck lid handle which is a camper top liftgate handle from today. The handle style remained and only the mounting escutcheon changed.

 

you don't know how close i came to writing you a check for this car at the frog follies this year.

 

Im putting back pretty much how it was but its still going to run a sbc but I'm putting a manual trans back in it. changing the intake and interior.

Are you still going to use a model A chassis or could there be a set of 32 rails going under it? You have a tough job on your hand finding a way to mount that tag so its not to low.

I think you need to make the cove big enough to put the plate in the center of it.

Once I get the bubbletop finished, you just need to drop it off at my house and let me worrry about making it work.

I see the little pods are going to work, did you ever figure out what they are from??????
