Road Devils CC Event "HELL ON WHEELS" Hot rods/Drag Races June 28. Mark your Calendar

Road Devils Car Club (www.roaddevils.com) has teamed up with National Trail Raceway (www.nationaltrailraceway.com) to bring you:​

"Hell on Wheels 2008"​

This event will feature:
***Drag Racing***
-Nostalgic "Flag Style" Drags with a flagger, actual racing will be ET-style with handicaps
-Open to all pre-1972 Cars and all Traditional style Bikes (who can pass basic tech inspection)
-Slick Tire and Street Tire Classes
-Trophys will be awarded for street tire class
-Purses will be awarded for slick tire class (1st= $500, 2nd= $200, Semis=$100)
-Time slips to all participants
-tech inspection starts at 9am

***Car/Bike Show***
-Open to pre-1972 American cars and Traditional Style motorcylces of all makes and models. No Sportbikes or off-road bikes/atvs.
-Trophys/awards for top 3 Road Devils Favorites

***Burn-Out Contest***
-will take place in water box area
-Trophy/award awarded for Crowd favorite

***Flame-Thrower Contest***
-Trophy/award for Crowd Favorite

***Pin-up contest**
-Ladies only......as if that needed to be mentioned....
-No official entry required
-trophy/award for crowd favorite

***Concert***
-6-10pm
-3 Bands
-Shotgun Kelly, Rumble Club
-Headliner: Corpse Show Creeps

***Vending***
-Free Vending with purchase of general admission for each person affiliated with the vending.
-No designated spots, however there may be a designated area
-NO FOOD OR DRINK VENDING!

***Beer***
-Beer will be available
-Participants in the racing may not drink until eliminated

Admission: $15ea - Kids 12 and Under free.

Yep... tough call. Old movies or racing, beer, cars, burn-outs, flame throwers, vendors, and a concert....

Guess there's only so many weekends in a month. Something's bound to clash......

 

Can't wait for this! Going to be a great time for sure...

I'm a drag racing fan, through and through...no choice for me!
With all the nostalgic drag cars that National trail is gonna be jammed up with, and the "weekender" aspect, its gonna be bad-ass...
We should all get a bunch of passes all day long, flag starts, live music...
I imagine we will have a very similar event, in its "grass roots" nature, to the Showdown drags...a new, REAL racing tradition!
Like being given free reign of a drag strip, in the "Land of the Gasser"...
I only have a few months to get the truck ready for some wheels up action...gonna be close, might have to bring the coupe if I don't make it in time with my Effie!

So... a lot. And every chapter is quality, held to strict standards with very involved members. It ain't no weekend rocka-silly jacket club. It's bonafide car guys for life. It goes well beyond shows, all the way to taking care of eachother's families at times.
