Old Racetrack

    Don't know if this has been posted before...

    Was surfin around and pulled up this site with pics of these old "racecars" sittin' in a field....crazy photos. Looks like there was some real steel in some and some mad fabricating in others. Thought others might enjoy, or be able to go and rescue one....
     
  2. Looks like studio props to me.Only one is rusting, the others look like they are made of plywood.

    Yeah: Those cars look funny- I don't mean funny Ha Ha but a lot of flat rolled roofs and just weird. Cool though.

    If you look close at several of them, I don't think they are actually cars. Look to be made of roughly formed sheet metal and rivets

    Somebody welded up the frame and cage AND put a steering column in one. Good mystery. What Are These Things?

    Maybe cars from some oval track coupe class after early Fords became not so readily available.
