GARY ...I agree with LabRat....try what Digger does...Do it by hand with "heart" and computer colorize it.To me It would look less "mechanical" and have that "human" touch You definatly have command over. If you had that kind of control of a pencil back then...I can only imagine what you could do now! Always cool stuff ! I wait every week to see your creations !!!!!

  6. the shows really up a notch this week
welcome flatratrocket, those destressed plates look great printn an old rod. imagine HAMBers using old metal. Chaz the carosel is amazing, you really stuck to it, hey we all use stupid, antiquated processes, i like to call it "by hand". it's all about an honest piece of art.
keep it up everybody, its a surprizing thread each week

Once again I have nothing for this week. Recently I've just been practicing the striping and working on some panels for a friend for the Pittsburgh show next month.

Ubermustang, you never cease to amaze. That painting is absolutely phenomenal. great stuff. How the hell do you do it?

  9. Hey, Thanks for the generous compliment.

I really appreciate those who are willing to give out the feedback and constructive comments, critical or not; they're a vital tool to any artist.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.
Thought I'd show you guys a quick sketch of my next painting. It's the iconic pic of Bill Burke's bellytank with Mr. Parks behind the wheel. It is a commissioned piece for a fellow HAMBer, so look for it in a future Friday show

OK. Here's my very first oil painting in my life. Using acrylics has given me little patience for paint drying.
Took this shot of the wet painting.
Uber....fantastic painting. Wish I could get some tips from you and watch you do them over your shoulder.
Made a few changes still after I took this shot(area behind the driver).

Great piece, Lesabre!!! I'm about 10 miles west of C-Pop. I gotta zing down there an' check out that show! Good luck there. I met Robt. Williams at C-Pop when it was in Royal Oak. As I'm sure you know, that gallery is on the
    Kustom Kulture 'A' List!

No offence to UberMustang, whose paintings are top notch in my book… But I think you are right up there with him… you just have your own equally valid style… as it should be! Great first attempt at Oil's… Thumbs way up to both of you on your contributions this week!

And Thumbs up to the rest of you contributors as well… As far as I'm concerned, the art show is the best post on the H.A.M.B.!
