You don't get a gas staion named "Gasoline Heaven"?

  3. Loaf and Jug is owned by Kroegers foods, they bought out the Mini Mart stores in our area.

Lived in Western Sodak all my life and never seen Git N Go?

I seem to remember an odd one similar to Kum&Go on University in FridleyMN up by the University Mall?

I don't remember that, but I used to get gas at a Gibble Gas, just before they sold out. This was in Coweta, Ok, back around '84.

That was the second one that popped in my head. The first is one I've been going to for years in my hometown, Pump and Hump. We used to have a Toot-n-Tellum' before it got tore down. I don't have any pictures of either. :(

  11. When I lived in Tulsa as a kid in the 70s there was a U-Tote-Um around the corner where we bought comic books and trading cards. I don't think anyone could name a station that today. I think a U-Tote-Um was in the movie Rumble Fish or the Outsiders, both filmed in Tulsa. There were also Git'n'Go stations.

When I was driving to Alabama with my cousin to pick up his Merc, we passed a convenience store called Cox Smoker's Outlet. I can't even remember what state it was in now, but we were going too fast for a picture.

There's a funeral home in Lake Alfred, Florida, called Crisp-Coon.
And in Illinois a friend tells me of a business called Beecher Meat Company.

And here's some made up ones courtesy of my friend Billy and Barry,

    Bubba's House of Snakes
    Milk 'n' Mufflers
    Burly Man Daycare Center
    Haunted Laundromat

we had a Cluck-U chicken joint near the University for quite awhile.

back near St.Louis, you could get gas station snacks from a company called Guy's
They had Guys sunflower seeds, chips, etc....

Had a pack with Guy's Nuts on it. No shit!

    Don't forget the "Pump-N-Pak"!

  21. I don't think so. Toot-n Totum (fart-n fetchum) still has a monopoly on gas and convenience stores in Amarillo.

Kum and Go's are a big chain based in West Des Moines Iowa. 400 of em. Almost as big as a Casey's, ever heard of those? Krause and Gentle, the founders of Kum and Go, had some shady dealings in the past (pushes his nose to one side) I've heard.

Well, since we have strayed from gas station names, I must recomend (for all our he-men out there that believe size maters), the Hung Thinh Asian Grocery here in Wichita Falls.

Whatever they are sellin' must not help.

  29. Sweet! Cutting Gas. I've filled up there on occasion when I worked in Point Richmond. Always gave me a good laugh.

For the rest of y'all, the street the gas station is on is named Cutting.
