hi > can someone out there help me. iam looking for the co . that makes wheel spacers that support early ford wire wheels, using later ford hubs. they were in rod & custom or streetrodder this year. thanks jon
i got mine from WHEELKID here on the hamb, or rallyamerica is there site i believe. mine are about 1" thick and have the ridge machined into them for early spokes. give them a call
I looked back through my mags and couldn't find them either.... they were 18.95 each. And they were the 1.25" thick spacer. I'll post it if I find them....
The thick spacers are for F100, Buick, and other flat-faced drums, and the skinny Tardel ones are to mount wires onto '40 - '48 type drums that have a raised centre, but don't have the short nubs to support the wheel centre.
I have sold many sets here and no complaints. They are extreamly accurate and also the cheapest! I will make some more after the first. Check back with me if you still need some. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=230137
Goes to show you the power of the HAMB. Before I was a member, I had some machined out of billet aluminum; cost me $320!!!! (sound of me banging head against the wall.)
