Tech tip: simple and small

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 1oldtimer, Nov 4, 2007.

  1. i know tech week is over but i though alot of people might already know this one and it wouldn't be worthy of tech week.

if your using electrical tape and are in a tight area that you can't get the whole roll in (even if it's a smaller 3/4 used up roll :) ) .what i do is to get a small size socket (deep or shallow your choice), make several wraps of tape on it (your socket is now the tape roll) and tape away.

  4. That is a good tip.

I usually cut a length and fight the fight . . . along with a few choice words.

A truism: the simplest things are the most difficult....

Great tip,I'll be sure to use that one. Also use a razor blade to make a small cut on the side of the roll that way you can tear the tape at the cut without a knife.

Now I've got a reason to keep all those sockets I'll never get around to returning to Sears for replacement.
