I friend of mine is looking for a car and it's owner that was at Hot-Rod-A-Rama ......she sent me this email...... Hey there, ya well i don't know how to post anythin on the hamb lol so i don't know if this is ok to ask on the hamb or not but i figured you'd know lol I need to find the phone # to the guy that had the blue 59' Ford at Hotrodarama. I don't know if I saw it there this year or if it was last year or the year before but the picture is on their myspace page of it. The guy thats putting on rama' from now on (not dale) is trying to hunt down the paperwork to find it but not having any luck yet. Its car "name" was somethin like blue heaven or somethin? It was a Rod & Custom magazine cover car in 1960. Can you or would you be able to post that on the hamb for me? To see if he is a washington resident is what I'm hoping for. Does anyone have info for her? She sure would appreciate it....thanks in advance
I do belive he lives in Wash state, on the west side. I do not know his name, but the car is called "My Blue Heaven" and was in Hop Up a couple years ago. Very neat car... Good luck
It is a 1959, was done at a body shop in Portland, on Sandy Blvd. I helped tear the upolstery out of it when brand new. I was havin the dash in my 51 Ford painted there, and striped by Phil Schaffer (sp) at the time. While hangin around, helped strip it. Think it only had 250 miles on it then. Was sold to a military guy and later wrecked (1/4 panel). And sold at the Portland swap meet to I guy I knew in Seattle. Resold and restored. The only sectioned 59 Ford I ever saw. I remember the original bill for everything was about $2500. Still owned in the NW, but don't now who............OLDBEET
Rikster has even more than what I had. http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_...58_ford_custom_cars/sectioned_59_ford_custom/

Originally built in Portland, OR in 59 in 9 weeks for the show circuit and found in a barn in Kent, WA a few years ago and restored to original by Ron Sanders and he lives in Federal Way, WA In the picture of the right side of the car with the 4 guys standing behind it the fella with the white T shirt and sun glasses, second from the right is Ron! Does this help you as he still has the car!
The car is on the east coast now. I believe in GA.. I saw at a few shows before leaving, here it is at the Altanta GG show
