12 Months in the build and its on the road !

Started with a restored 28 A sport coupe and its ended with my vision now complete.
Based on what I class as an early 50's show car.

8BA with Offy heads, E Mayer intake, 94's, 40 Ford rear, Dropped I beam, 40 Ford brakes, Z'ed frame and boxed, 40 Ford steering wheel and colum by Lime works ( thanks Steve ) on F100 box, 40 Ford 16's with Delux Caps and trim etc etc

Thanks to all involved Namco's Billy and Miles with special thanks to THE MAN " MARCO " excelence and beyond

Dont think theres that many over in the US ?

    Give us your opinions !

Dropped a pic of the A side by side with Neils Banger !

    Cheers all

    and see you at Bakersfeild

    Steve

Damn nice! What color is that? I was researching for my 28 Tudor and saw a color almost exactly like that. I think the color was called "cigarette Cream"

    Great example you have there!

See now, I like that. The car is driveable. You could take that car about anywhere. I can't get into cars that will only travel on flat parking lots.

    Really cool.

The car was an original right hand drive A from south Africa ! now converted to Left Hand drive so its now all US Spec !!
The color is an original Ford color !! aparently sahara sand ?
    But I am not convinced.
I liked it so kept it !!!
I painted the fire wall in old English white so to break it up a little and keep it in that old style.

Oh that car is soooo cool. I love the lake pipe port exhaust just above the running board. Would it be crude to say I would like to see her with her top down? :D

That is one sweet ride. I love the color, it's about what I wanted to paint my 29 coupe. But since you are in the UK i highly doubt we would be parked next to each other, so I'll stay with the same color:D

Gorgeous. The Model A Sport Coupes were very classy designs and it's a shame so many of them get/got decapitated. Well done.

Great looking sport coupe. It is great to see a sport coupe that is still a sport coupe and hasn't be ruined to make a wanna-be roadster. Congrats on a wonderful car!!

  15. the only suggestion i can make, is to take off the eddie meyer parts, sell them to me for very cheap, and then you can put whatever else on to make it run again...
Seriously though its very sharp looking car, i like it!!

That is the nicest Sport Coupe I've ever seen...REAL classy.
That car is going to be the inspiration for my '28 "A" pick-up build.
    Really nice job Steve.

  17. Wow! This was a real nice Sport Coupe, congrats to an excellent work and taste. Wish I had the time and inspirations to start with mine.

Was due to do the Kopy Kat reliability run last Saturday but dropped out due to work !!
After speaking to some of the guys who attended I think I would have turned chicken and high tailed out a there !!!
If you saw the pic's you know what I mean.
2 foot deep fords and ruts, crossing the river !!!!!!!!
Dont get me wrong the A's no trailer queen and runs in all weather rain or shine but the thought of a further 3 months of repairs !!!
Like Jap Chris !!! good attempt mate.

I think I shall leave this to the brave boys Clive, Adrian etc HATS OF TO YOU GUY'S.

Black top reliability runs only for me ! if such a thing exists.
