Has anyone here wired up a set of semaphores that work? How did you do it? Is there anything special to know. I haven't tried it yet.

Normally the problem with them is that they are corroded up and seized. Back in the 70's a lot of cars still on the road down here had them and I made good money buying up old ones and soaking them in a bucket of CRC and getting them freed up. From memory the wiring was relly straight forward.

  8. NOT signaling is for ignorant assholes that don't give a shit about others on the road...

If you hook them up to the hazard switch will the car take off? :)

A friend has them on his little Morris panel and he had people pulling on them at shows. Ruinned both of them.

KIRK, With or without other directional signals? Are yours lighted?
Semaphores are mechanical arms that come out ouf the body to signal a direction change. Jay

They are lighted. I will have one taillight. If I use the semaphores, they will be my only signals.

  26. I think the English car semaphores are 12 volts,
    the Beetles are 6 volts.

The English stuff should be easier to find, and cheaper.
    Might be positive ground.
