    Man.

That's the first car in a while that made me sit up and catch my breath. That's an awesome setup and looks fantastic.

That's a cool hot rod right there man.

thanks guys, it should be a fun one.

dixiedog, i'm 6'3" and about 210 i built this thing so i can stretch out a little, i can actually get my legs completely straight if i stick my toes under the pedals, which has always been an issue for me since i have screwed up knees and need to straighten them so they can pop about every 30 min or they get sore. all my other cars i'd have to get creative and kinda stand up while driving to make them pop or pull over and get out for a minute. i won't have to do that in this car although i may need a brake after an hour or so since it's such a short wheel base.

seldom scene Bill i'm going to try and have it actually done for the prowlers picnic at the end of sept at nates but farm, you guys are going to make it out there right?

have you had it on the road yet? Do you get enough airflow with the radiator to run it in traffic?

    great car by the way

thanks again guys here's a front, rear and interior shots. the big camera took a crap so these are off my cell phone hopefully they show up.

ichoptop, haven't had it on the road yet but i've used the same mesh in a couple other cars and they cooled fine, plus this things got a heavy duty aluminum radiator so i should be ok.

i decided i hated the windshield that i made for it, it was just to bulky for how small the car is, so i'm gonna make a new one later in the week, still have to bleed the brakes and do some other little stuff but i should be able to take it for a spin around the block over the weekend.

I love it! My dad is always collecting leftover parts from other peoples projects and I laughed at him until he finished his home-made '28 Chevy rpu woody. I don't laugh anymore. I sent him a link to this as soon as I read your parts list! Your build is incredible. It shows how far ingenuity and patience can take you. Keep it up.

rolled it outside after rigging up some 32 hubcaps to fit the wheels. the diameter of the cap was perfect but the inner part that holds it on was about an inch to small so i made up 4 little clips for each cap and welded the clips to the back of the caps and it actually worked, i figured i'd put the first one on and never be able to get it off again but they snap on like a regular hubcap and there's just enough room under the edge to be able to pry them off.
i've still got to get the hood sides flanged that's why there a little long looking.

That's the color I've had in my head only a little lighter. I want a "Corsair" blue.

That car is just badass. Good job.

If you built that-- in that tiny little garage, your the man!!! And you stuck with it, nice job!!! Just goes to show people what can be done in cramped quarters and little resources. Are those real E&J's ????

    IT DRIVES

i got sick and didn't work on it for a couple weeks but today i actually drove it. still needs interior and a windshield but it runs great, very quick out of the hole and i actually got it a little sideways at about 40 going up a hill when i gave it a little gas. seems to handle really well, nice and tight, no slop in the steering, no front end shakes etc. should be a fun car

Well - I read the description of the car before scrolling down to see it and though "oh no Ford Cowl, Dodge Body, the thread title
I was pleasantly surprised when I scrolled down.
anyway I don't like modifieds - but for some reason I like yours!

great job, proportioned well, great stance, good combo of parts - all around nice hot rod :)
