One of my wife's cousins lives out that way, we go there several times a month. Is there any car action other than the Kroger's thing up in the northern quadrant?

 

yep, thats me (my name is Chris)...Lindsey and i actually live down the street from each other.

he's for the '54s and i got the '53.

how do you know him?

 

nah, actually thats kinda why i asked this question....i KNOW there's cars out by me, but you NEVER see them drive.
you MIGHT see one parked in a garage and occasionally the "weekend cruisers", but thats about it.

I've never made it to the Kroger thing, but have been told there's usually a pretty good turn out.
i'm so busy working on my '53 that i don't have spare time to do "fun" stuff. haha.

my buddy lindsey and i have always wondered about it out here that's why i asked. it'd be nice to start something up out here in the "sticks"....ha.

I'm at Cypresswood and I-45.

We have a good group here. Like Kisam said...PM Luckystrike and he'll put you on he list for the HAMB get togethers on the first Sunday of every month. We usually have a good turnout. We meet down at Jimmies Ice House on White Oak in the Heights.

Bring your car if you can but its not required.

That meet at Krogers is a big deal with a lot of cars. We try to make it once a month at a minimum. It's not that its far away...it's just usually the same cars. It makes for a good Saturday night if you don't have anything going on.

I am at i45 and cypresswood also. I know there are a couple of others on the northside too.

I live in Texas City, but my office is @290 and Fairbanks-North Houston. 130 mile round trip, in a couple 20 year old cars for over a year.

I too live in Texas City not far from Richard and am a longtime member of the San Jacinto Region of the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America (SJR/VCCA) that puts on an Auto Swap Meet the middle of every March at Trader's Village on Eldredge just south of 290 and in May we have a great party at a friend's house at the corner of Beinhorn and Cypress n. Houston. Show up at either Saturday event and I'll feed you free BarBQue. Don't worry, I'm making a list and you all will be PM'd. Oh yeah, Kisam joined our little club recently, seems she wants to do at least one restoration, 27 sport coupe. I'll try to make the next Jimmies, even if it is a Sunday!

 

I'm at 249 and Grant Rd. I need to get out to the Kroger thing myself and check it out. I'm definetly close enough to it.
