custom mild 55-57 stepside trucks any cool pics

    just got a 55 short stepside big window truck. corvette 327 hedman headers cam 350 tranny.doing it dark blue metilliac suede going to put wide whites and 55 poncho caps and i still have my 55 poncho wheel going to see if it will fit it . its gong to be a tow vehical for my roadster. post pics later. billy

    no bags,all suspension nova clip,4.5"ride hieght ww tuck n roll and a sectioned hood(that i have been insanely lazy and not finished)small block with th350 freeway gears..........................

    Sadly- no progress since Christmas- just been buying more trucks. Totally rust and dent free body from nevada. I have all the pieces to build it once I get it painted.

    hey jim cool truck what size are your rims ? 15? what size tires i want to run them on mine . is the 55 chevy truck pattern 5.5 ? thanks let me know. billy

    Here is one without wide whites that I thought was pretty cool.
    Most pick up photos I've saved have white walls.

    I'm running 15x 5 & 15x7 chromies from Wheel Vintiques with their standard backspacing (3-inch?). I switched to 4 3/4-inch passenger car 5-lug bolt pattern. All these trucks were 6-lug originally. The rear-end is a '81 Trans Am posi with disc brakes (bout the same width as stock. Front is a Chassis engineering dropped axle with discs.

    the grey truck looks like what i want my truck to look like . stance and white walls and visor. i think dark blue met suede with a cream top should look good. billy
