Damn, wish I knew who ya were! I was there too. Did you happen to snag a pic of the vintage racer that was all restored? It was a black roadster with an early Hemi. There was a lady with a tent set-up, and it was pulled behind a faded '73 Mercury wagon with woodgrain on the sides if that rings a bell. I stayed 'til 1:30am after the final round of KOTH. That was my first time out there since the track switched owners and they added some bleachers.
the "SCORPION" I did not take any pics of it this time ..have before though I meant to buy a shirt but ... Yeah, we were there till then too .
What track is that? Was it a nostalgia event, or is that what shows up on Saturday night? MattB, if you search the Scorpian, you'll find some pics on here. That car has made passes at the HAMB drags and at the Day of the Drags. Very cool old race car.
There were others ..but got side tracked never took enuf pix place was packed King of the hill fuel altereds , diggers .. www.northstar-dragway.com New owners, new mgr .. track must of hooked seen two side by side 3.95's !
That Toxic F/A looks like the new ones being built out of recent funny car chassis'. They did a good job on that one. I see where they running around 280 with those. Did it make a pass?
Thanks for the pics! If the NHRA had some balls they would start running these new altereds and dump Pro Stock.
I love Pro Stock!! It's some of the closest racing ever. I've owned about 20 different motorcycles, mostly sportbikes, and I still don't care too much for Pro Stock bike though! LOL
It's close but it reminds me of nascar.I could take or leave pro stock bike but I like fuel bikes, should have them at more events. That's just my thought and it's good not everyone thinks like me.
