The H.A.M.B. Drags engine raffel. What a great idea. I have tried the last two years. It is about time I win. ha ha. But seriously folks, damn a free engine, almost. Lets see photos of cars the last few years engines are in.
Racefab is the man! And the Drags are where its at you have to go! Great job on what looks to be another badass motor. I also want to see where the past motors have ended up? Still on stands?
Don't let Eddie Bell (BellM) play. He wins half the stuff every year, including the small block Ford a couple of years ago. I think he probably cheats. Cheater.
Tasty. Be sure and paint that block chevy orange so I don't have to repaint it before I drop it in. Doc.
Yeah, I'll build a Scoop for it. Let me know when you need it Fred. I'll make it look a little different from the one I did for last years Engine, to suit the different Carb setup... Really sorry to hear about your Dad Glenn.
Nice lookin' goodies there. I hope to get to the drags again this year. last years was a real blast. Maybe I'll get in on this raffle this time too. Glenn's a GREAT guy, I'm proud to call him a friend. Thanks Fred and Glenn for all you do.
i'll have to win this one too yep last years is patiently waiting it's turn, but it'll be going in a 29A tudor. later jim
I know of one running around the Centex area in a '32 3-window coupe. BellM is putting his to good use!
He's too shy to brag, so I'll post it for him. Here's a picture of my dad's 2004 HAMB Drags raffle engine at this year's LSRU. He called me from Joplin that night, and I don't think I've ever heard him sound so excited. Then I got to see it in person, and I understood what all the fuss was about. Fred builds a nice motor!
Freddy, you sir are a MADMAN! one of the high points of my Drags experiance last year was meetin' you... its HAMBers like yourself that make the board, and the world a better place to be
Glenn is a legend, and a pasionate hot rodder, to which, even though I'm on the other side of the world I'm honoured to call him my mate, as his enthusiasm and passion for the HAMB, and hot rodding, makes me want to try even harder, and stand behind what I believe in. As mentioned, he's got alot going on in his life at the moment, so, friends, if you bump into Glenn in your travels, please take a moment to say g'day, as he's a legend. Thanks to the HAMB, and I'm sure that engine is going to kick arse.... Cheers, Drewfus
I've had Glenn plenty busy the last week or so with repairing the chassis for my '39 Ford. He does awesome work and is a real perfectionist about things he's doing. I too am proud to call him my friend. Thanks for all you do for all of us (HAMB, Poor Boys, local hot rod guys, etc.). Glenn=Ruler! Mike
To: Ryan, Fred and the HAMB family On behalf of my father Cliff and my entire family, we are extremely honored to see the "HotRod Hayes 355" HAMB Drags engine being dedicated to my Dad. His passing has been very traumatic to us all, but I keep a smile on my face because I know he is no longer suffering, and is in a better place today. And to those of you that have said such great comments on my behalf, Thank You! .....it's much appreciated. I've made my room reservations for the HAMB Drags, and I look forward to seeing all of you that are planning to attend. I have enjoyed the HAMB life for 8 years now, and plan to continue for many more to come. Glenn Hayes
Glenn, I am truely sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family. I look forward to dropping that motor in my next project and making your Dad proud. Thanks so much for your continued support of the HAMB and the raffle motor. See you next month. xoxox
I've already told Glen that I will have a trailer to haul it back home with this time. I'm buying my tickets up there.
That's nice of you Robert....Don't worry about bringing it all the way to my house...I'll pick it up over at yours!
So any body can win or just the entrants of the drags? Unfortunately neither of my old rides will get done in time more than likely, but I'm definately gonna check it out for next year.
