Looks good so far, my only suggestion would be to add some wood grain or texture to the body of the brush. Maybe when I get back to Kansas for school in August, I'll go pick up a shirt from you.

    Gabo, that's pretty cool.

Here is something I hope turns into something profitable.
(what, you thought I did this for the love of it......... I do.)

You're not the first to tell me that. I've tried a couple of times but can't seem to get it right...it usually looks kool around the base of the brush but really screws up the face. I'll keep screwing with it.

    thanks for the feedback

I like it. You could even flip the brush character over and use the brush part as hair.

Yes Kirk. Some of your friends and I would like to try to get you help if you're ready. The first step is admitting you have a problem. Art can be a powerfull thing to overcome.

I putting some more of my old stuff on. This was from 1979 or so. I was really into lowriders then and the Bellflower look even though I didn't know it was called that living in N. C. and all. The Wilhem Chrysler is all out of whack but I was drunk with youth. These drawings were part of a art show that was at one of the Winston Salem Nationals South, but can't remember which one. Two of my drawings got stolen right off the wall there!

Already had a previous post, but now it's actually Friday, and I just got this painting done. Oil and canvas 24x30". Would like to get feedback. I don't think the photo is a real good one, but I'm trying to keep things a little looser with this piece.

These last two are for you Jigger.RodP, I looked for what you wanted and couldn't find it, hopefully people will post these drawings from the little books and it will show up.Here is May 1960,July and June 1962 of Custom Rodder. There is stuff in R&C and Car Craft etc., but it is not as raw as some of this stuff was. I learned to like this stuff over the years.
Hey Jigger, I think that was my school bus driver.:D

  25. For a stick figure guy thats pretty darn good. So how do you hold a pencil with only three skinny fingers? I think I'd define the separation between the main body and the turtle-back, I quick sketched it on photoshop and also extended the length of the cowl, dropped the top edge of the bucket a bit and added the door reliefs. Oh, and for demenssion, added the seat and a hint of the back edge of the windshield.
As a whole, I think your perportions are pretty good concidering it's your first sketch. Practice a lot and have fun. Believe me we all draw all the time and not one of us would say we're anywhere close to being 'there' yet.

Dirty Donny RULES. I've been a big fan for a while now.

Here's a few older ones from me. I think I posted most of these once before, but here it is again anyhow. The last one of course is heavily influenced by Dirty Donny of course.  Hopefully I can be forgiven for doing it......
