I can't be the only one who counts stuff like this. I figure I've owned 32 cars in my life (not counting corpses I never drove); among these were:

    8 Fords
    5 Chevrolets
    4 VWs
    3 Pontiacs
    2 Dodges
1 each Studebaker, Olds, Mercury, MG, Jaguar, Lotus, Nissan, BMW, Volvo, Honda

Of these, 19 were V8s, 8 were fours, 5 were sixes.

    7 2dr sedans, 5 2dr hardtops, 5 4dr sedans, 4 pickups, 4 wagons/SUVs, 3 coupes, 2 convertibles, 2 roadsters.

8 reds (including maroon and orange), 8 blue, 7 black, 5 green, 2 bronze, 2 grey, 1 each yellow, beige, and white. Colors don't add to 32 because of repaints.

So statistically, I apparently prefer red or blue Ford V8 2dr sedans, but I've never owned either one. Or any Ford sedan, for that matter.

Feel free to add your own stupid statistics. Automotive, of course.

dude, I will 1 up ya.

    I currently own 2 1967 cutlasses.
they're BOTH white, dark blue guts, bench seat (although 1 now has "race buckets") both supremes, both originally had 330's, 1 is a glide car, the other 3 spd standard (on the floor) both had a/c, both have darn near EXACTLY the same options...hell, they even have matching rust (1 is worse by a long shot, but nonetheless)

so yeah. know what I'm doing tomorrow? going to look at another one.

how many times have you bought damn near the exact same car?

    5 Fords
    4 Plymouths
    3 Suzukis
    2 Chevrolets
    2 Dodges
1 each Studebaker, Buick, Mercury, Geo, BMW, Chrysler and Subaru

    Of these, 8 were V8s, 9 were fours, 5 were sixes, 1 was a 3 cylinder.

    4 2dr sedans, 3 2dr hardtops, 1 4dr sedan, 1 pickup, 4 wagons, 3 coupes, 1 convertibles and 6 hatchbacks

3 reds (including maroon), 4 blue, 5 black, 2 green, 2 gold, 3 white, 1 each purple, beige, teal and silver

So statistically, I apparently prefer black Ford 4 cylinder, hatchback, and I have owned one (1986 Escort GT, my first new car).

I have owned cars from 12 different nameplates and 25% are no longer being made (Studebaker, Geo and Plymouth).

10 cars were over 10 years old when purchased.

  4. 2 Oldsmobiles
    3 Chevy
    2 Isuzus
    1 Datsun
    2 VWs
    1 Pontiac
    1 Cadillac
    2 Fords

Range is 1946 - 1996, purchased 1981 - 2006, only 1 was less than 10 years old when purchased, and it was brand new.

    6-V8s, 3-6s, 6-4s

    9- 2 drs, 1 conv., 2- 4drs, 2- PUs, 1 van

    4 white, 2 tan, 1 brown, 2 green, 2 yellow, 2 blue, 1 black, 1 red

So my average car would be a '76 white V8 Chevy 2dr.

Well, that's 20 minutes I'll never get back.

I'd have to dig out my list, but as of 2002 I'd owned approximately 207 cars since 1967. I only counted what my buddy and I call "two butt" specials, meaning that you had to drive them long enough to snuff at least 2 cigarettes in the ashtray....:) I'd have to figure the percentages, but I'm guessing 75 percent were Ford products, 23 percent GM, and 2 percent Mopars. The oldest road car I've owned was a '50 Ford Fordoor, the newest a '93 Crown Vic Police Interceptor, with most being mid-'50s-late '70s stuff. None of these were parts cars, scrappers, race cars nor used cars I had on my lot from '80-'86. Owning so many isn't some deep pychological repressed feeling of deprivation from my childhood or whatever. Whenever a good deal has come along, I buy it!....:D

I'm leaving out a few I never drove and no longer own.

19 vehicles in 23 years, still own 5 of them.

    9 were V8, 6 were 6's, and 4 were 4's

    6 were 2 doors, 3 were 4 doors, 5 were pickups, 5 were vans/SUVs

    2 reds (including maroon), 2 blue, 3 black, 1 green, 1 gold, 1 gray, 2 yellow, 3 beige, 2 white, 1 rust/primer,1 brown

    1 Buick, 2 Oldsmobiles, 9 Chevrolets, 2 Pontiacs, 1 Toyota, 3 Dodges, 1 Ford

All except 2 have been at least 10 years old at the time of purchase, only one new. Sold it after 10 years.

Statistically, black or beige, 2 door, V8, Chevy. Never had that exact combo.

    2 fords

    2 V8s

    1 sedan, 1 coupe

    1 primer, 1 purple grayish

So I like ford, V8, sedan or coupe, and primer or an ugly purple grayish color. Man that was hard narrowing those statistics down. LOL
