Those Holdens are neat little cars. The black Holden pickup (with "55 BLK" license) would make a great kustom with few mods. Thanks for the pics.
Thanx for the pix Jimmy B. You just saved me about $3000 in fuel, accommodation and food let alone the 2 weeks in time. But I did miss out on seeing and hearing all those good rockabilly bands. Guess we'll be back there again next year but I don't think it will be in a hot rod. Couldn't stand travelling thru new South Wales on those shitty roads you've got. Was bad enough going from Albury to Canberra with flatoz in his roadster for the CRAKK run. A lot of those cars you posted were there last year but I did see some new ones, you always miss some tho. Thanx again swifty
Jimmie there you were on the Goldcoast in the sun with all those beautiful cars and all and you didn't show any beautiful Austrailian girls. Lets see both kinds of beauties next time brother. Rags
Nice. Does Anybody Know Anything About That Merc With Roth On The Back.... The Car Looks Really Familiar
Thanx Mate, good of you to take us to the wonderful Wintersun event. Some really outstanding rides and cool original work on these babys!!-Sololobo/Roadburners of Omaha
The Merc belongs to (or at least used to belong to) Little Mick from Brisbane. Car used to have dark blue "ghost" flames over the light blue (looks much better now). Little Mick actually spent a bit of time with Roth many years back. -Pete.
I noticed that all those rods had fenders on them. i was just wondering what your laws are down under.
Nice photos of cool cars. You guys must have fender laws.I find the different fender applications very interesting. Ribbed triumphs, nice, and the tire tread fenders are on the invisible side. Way cool. If Little Mick is around ,PM me, I have not talked to you for a while.
No worries Swifty! It is great having bands playing at different locations in the streets as you look at the cars NSW roads are Goat tracks! I don't blame you for not wanting to drive on them. It is a great event I have been going since they started having cars on display, can't remember what year that was. Having the same cars each year is evidence of how good this event is, people keep coming back. Every few years you do see fresh cars showing up though.
Haha, there is a high concentration of Baby Boomer women (not my cuppa tea), but that is slowly changing and the daughters are getting into the swing of the event.
