it'll be cool to see what it really looks like once the cover is removed...but i just can't get over how artificial the whole unearthing ceremony seemed to me..granted i watched it over the webcast, but it just seemed really odd...

The suspense is killing me! Why do we all care so much? We go to junkyards day in and day out and see crap like this all the time. When are they going to take that cover off? Probably as soon as the truck goes behind the building, they switch cars and then pull into the convention center with a shiny restored Plymouth. Quick, someone run out back to that convention center's dumpster.....

 

Two hours. Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern Standard, in that order.

 

My buddy is at the convention center and told me that when Boyd was mentioned the crowd "boo'd" him. Some even said "go back home"

 

i would have loved to be there for that....

That would have been even funnier if Boyd was actually at the convention center during the unearthing. The unearthing was infront of the court house, the people in the convention center watched on close curcuit tv.

Still funny though... And no I didn't have the balls to boo him when he and his crew were introduced, I don't like the guy but I respect him (even if he is a tool ).

Used to do body work on Plymouths as well as other Chrysler vehicles in '57 and wouldn't be surprised to see at least the lower rear parts of the front fenders rotted away. Replaced a bunch of front fenders and was surprised to see bare metal inside some of the original fenders (no primer either)

 

Yep. Another sore spot is the top of the fender, just behind the headlight. There is a bulkhead up there to keep rocks from flinging up to the back of the headlight assembly... and also makes a nice spot for caked up mud and dirt to collect.

 

LOL, so does comcast!

How did that kid holding the leaf spring get inside the fence and that close to the hole? Everyone else is either a cop or a construction worker.

Note that that kid with the leaf spring is wearing a Tulsarama shirt as well, at least he's getting his moneys worth with a piece of the car to take home!

 

i wonder when the water started getting into the "vault". i mean, if they dug it up 10 years ago would it still have looked like new? or has it been leaking from the start........and why is everyone so worried about boyd? who gives a shit? the fucker probably gets mentioned on hamb more than anywhere else, just let it go already.

that guy with the hot dogs by floyd rain gear on has been around for years driving transport for guys like the bearded fat one and even the old ISCA stuff in the day.....kool guy to bad he's working for them...but its a job.....if ya ever see him at a event talk to him he can tell a ton of stories............
