soft core Speedster porn! (full nudity) and late/early? meeting for Monthly Bangers?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by fur biscuit, May 29, 2007.

  1. Heres an old thread with many more pics of the car.

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147320

When I wrote that it wasn't a Whippet shell it occured to me that even though it wasn't THE Whippet shell it might be a later or earlier model.

I'll see about getting some detail shots.

EDIT: Just checked out all years of Whippets and its differently not Whippet. The later grille shells look like '30 Model 'A' shells.

  2. All I did was drive my car up to the lake...Made the 40 mile trip mo problem :)

    I also picked up a 22 T roadster from a Hamber.

Ya, he was pretty excited and i think a A powered one would work out very well.
We are going on a tour with BJ Miller this weekend at some place in Indiana called bearcreek farms etc.
Next week is hambster week at Goodguys Indy.
Then in two weeks is the southern Indiana "speedster meet" in Evansville Indiana.

Ooops, sorry to see that....what happened ?

  5. Its a mystery at the moment.

I think it was most likely a faulty piston that finally gave up.

C'mon Brent, admit it,..YOU picked out those colors didn't you??!!:D

I can hear it now,..."coming around turn three its Brent Terry in the,..uhh,...umm,...and Brent wins due to a bit of sock and awe!...";)

No, that's pretty cool, got her own speedster,...good for her!!

  10. I'm about finished with the one my buddy Bob built the body for... I had this chassis lying around, he built the framework, then I skinned it and had another friend paint it. Once I get the interior done, and it up and running, wired etc, aluminum firewall... lights... it's gonna get sold so I have some car money.

    After I skinned it.

If I were to do one again... I'd build the frame into the body and it would be a full belly pan and sit a foot lower!

not trying to rob this thread but I just bought my first complete banger drive line.It is a running drivetrain but has been removed from the frame which is going under a better car.The purchase is from a long time friend who has been involved with model As for more than 40 years he can guide me through any stock repair but I would like to mildly modify it for daily street use.I'd like to hear anyones ideas in this area what books etc.should I be getting ?Anyone care to correspond directly with this newby in the banger world ?
    thanks guys

Now that is some funny shit!

"eventually" I will get around to building a better bottom end for the T mill and then chase that elusive 150+ hp model T mill. Oh and then drop it into a '15 touring with a stock running gear. :D

    great pics and posts!

Leon....search through the HAMB archives for all the previous Banger Meet threads. There is a whole load of information about building bangers - from mild to ridiculous - in there.
And don't forget to check back here every month for a new Meet.

not much new on the banger front in central PA
had a bit of proof to these things last night running home in my V8 roadster
my friend roger with the schofield A motor lags behind my cyclone B but last night with the V8 i think he could have taken me....we stayed neck and neck up to about 80-85 before we backed off....thing was...he still had alot more to go and my v8 was crankin pretty good

also picked up a bit more "junk" recently
complete unassembled .060 over B motor, B trans case, and another winfield head...6:1 this time with a crack that was repaired long ago
    I'm running out of room!

anyone know anything about the mallory distributor in the pic?
    its model Y2 type 11A

Wow, Zach. You're piling these things up pretty high!
    Is the head still usable?

  22. I see remnants of green paint on the Winfield. A commercial Winfield perhaps?

the head was on a running motor for many years with the repair....so im hoping its good
just cracked on top for some reason
theres actually remnants of yellow paint in the corners here and there...look to the right of "winfield"
the yellow is below the other colors
i think the green was to disguize it on a stocker?

  24. Does that dist. still accept the manual advance and pop-out? I have a mallory just like it, different cap, that has both of these, so you could bolt it up to a stock A if you want! Neat stuff Zach.

  25. With my engine being out of action for the short term at least and the usual fun and games with the Banger suppliers, out of stock/ignored emails/unanswered phones etc etc, I thought I would throw together another engine to get me back on the road.

I've had this 'B' engine sitting for a few years now. I bought it as a core but there were a few signs to suggest that it was better than that.

I spent today striping it and so far (Fingers crossed) its real nice. Real good babbit all round with plenty of shims so it should have life left in it.
Block is mint and the crank will clean up. Pistons are 0.040" over with no signs of wear on the bores.

Its ready now to go back together. The valvetrain that came out seems OK, but I've got the nearly new stock valvetrain from the other engine so I think it will be quicker and easier to use that instead of cleaning this lot up.

Excellent Clark! Hope you get the roadster out for the summer, even if it's with a more conservative power output.

Shall I put your name back on the list for the Meltdown then?!

  27. What? You took my name off the list!

Briefly. Very briefly. ;) Your Dad's name is still there though.....

You gonna stick the stock cam back in? Haven't you still got the 1R?

  30. No, not stock.

My old cam is Dan Price flathead grind. Never had a 1R.

If it works out it will be pretty much the same spec performance wise as the old engine without the pressure and inserts.
