I have several old 1barrel carbs that I need help identifying.
I have 2 carbs that say "Carter WA-1" 2 hole base mount
I have 2 carbs that say "Carter YF" 2 hole base mount
I have 1 carb that is a Stromberg and says "385 383 BXVD-3" on the carb base. 2 hole base mount

    I have a 8cyl points distributor that says Delco-Remy 1110839 3G1

Any help with what these are and what they are from would be greatly appreciated

it would be a help if you could get some pictures of them!

the distributor was made on the 1st day of the 7th month of the 3rd year in the decade....not sure what the decade was though. Oh, wait, here it is...1953 Studebaker Commander.

The carter WA-1 was used on several different makes, from the 30s to the 50s

the Carter YF carbs are.....are you ready for this?.....Carter YF carbs. That was easy. The YF was used on off brands like Nash and Willys in the 50s and 60s.

The stromberg is probably off an old Mopar straight 6 engine from the 40s or early 50s

A carb number on the Carters would really help nail it. Frank

Various incarnations of the YF were used on F-head and six cylinder Jeep engines, some Chevy six cylinders in the 50s, and as mentioned, orphan-brand cars. Ford, not an orphan used them in the late 60s to early 70s on six-bangers.

Google Carter carbs. There is a site, I can't remember the name, that will help you match a Carter carb to its application.

Stromberg BXVD-3 is on my 1949 Dodge Coronet 230 Flat Six

  8. A Carter YF for a Chevy six is worth a few bucks, they're vastly superior to the Rochester carbs.
